Okay, so I haven't posted the photos like I said I would...BUT I decided to wait until the nursery was completely finished before posting pics of the different pieces. It just makes it easier for me that way! :)
We are making progress by the way: Ted and I picked a paint color for Eloise's room. It's called Purpling Rain...just enough purple to go along with the bedding but not too much purple that would make you think of the flying purple people eater! We got started on the painting today, but did not get that far because 1.) I was not in the right frame of mind. I was in perfectionist mode and when I get like that I don't even want to be around me, so I left the room and went and did the dishes because I can handle doing that perfectly ;). And, 2.) Ted was really tired after work and me abandoning him didn't help, so he quit about 20 minutes later. I didn't blame him.
We are having a friend over for dinner anyway, so it's better to prepare for that. Actually, we are also having friends over tomorrow for dinner AND even more friends over on Thursday. It is fun to have people over and "entertain" but I must say it gets a little pricey (but well worth it). And, we might as well have people over and go out as much as we can these last 10 to 11 weeks, because then it's a whole new story. :)
Yeah, that's right...10.5 weeks till June 13th! Crazy to think...and Ted and I are eagerly awaiting her arrival. Oh, and we have her middle name picked out. Eloise Iden. Iden is my Grandma Barbara's maiden name. She is my dad's mom, and she does sooooo much for our whole family, (which is a lot since she has 5 sons who have 15 (I think!) children all together, and lots of those children have children), and she is SUCH AN AMAZING Grandma. So, we want to honor my Grandma and make sure Eloise knows how important her great-grandma is to us.

Will Winter EVER End?
We have been home for a few days (and it has taken a few days to get readjusted to the cold temperature/dry air) and look what happens: A snowstorm! Well, it hasn't happened yet, but tonight we are supposed to get 5 to 8 inches of fresh, heavy, wet, snow along with some thunder. May I remind you that it is March 28th? Looks like we should have planned our little vacation for this week. :)
On the bright side, Tami donated her old television to us which is about 10 years newer than our current television and about 20 inches bigger. So, tonight I will be snuggling up to a movie (or a tv show because I finally gave in, to Ted's utmost delight, and we have cable!) with the blinds closed.
Another great thing today is that it is Olivia's Princess Birthday Party! She is turning 6 years old, and she has been planning/waiting for her party for months. Ted and I can't be there due to work/car issues, but I know she is going to have the most perfect time. We bought her a CUTE tote bag that she can use as a "purse" from Disney World, and one of those pencils that is shaped into a Mickey head at the end (she loves to write). Tami is going to be the deliverer of our presents today, I hope she takes lots of pics as well.
Later today, or tomorrow, I am going to post pics of Eloise's bedding, because it FINALLY came in the mail. It is so cute and now I am working on what color to paint the walls, well Ted will be doing most the painting..but you know what I mean. :) If anyone has any suggestions let me know. I am thinking about three white walls and one dark purple accent wall, or all four walls of really light purple, or three really light purple walls and one dark purple wall. Or maybe not even purple at all, because it might be too much purple in the end....as you can see I have lots to ponder these days. :)

Vaca Update #3
The last couple of days have been perfect! On Friday night we went to Clearwater Beach to hang out and watch the sunset. Then we went to dinner at a mexican place which was AMAZING! On Saturday Ted and I went into downtown Tampa. we went to a baby store which is one of the best ones I have ever been in, called Seedlings. Then we went to the Florida Aquarium. :) Fun times!

Vaca Update #2
Here are the latest pics: Wednesday = Caladesi Island, Thursday = Epcot
We have been having lots of fun, and we have also been avoiding severe sunburn, which is good. One of the best parts of Disney was that when Ted left the car lights on all day in the parking lot, Disney Security was more than ready and more than willing to give us a jump, free of charge! That kind of service makes you want to come back!

Vaca Update #1
Hi! Here is the picture for why we wanted to leave soooooo bad!

We made it safely to Florida. Never mind the fact that our car broke down in Reed City on the drive to Grand Rapids and that the #1 sister in the world had to drive an hour and a half to come get us, then drop us off at our hotel on 28th St. and then drive an hour more home. Bless her! If it wasn't for Samantha (and if it wasn't for my brilliant idea to come down to GR the night before our flight) we would have missed our plane.
Our flight on Alliegant Air was one that Ted and I will never forget. Let's just say we have never seen a 50/50 raffle go on mid flight because time needed to be killed. :)
So, we got to Orlando around 4pm on Monday and we drove to The Villages, about a two hour drive. But our rental car is super nice and fun to drive so we had fun. We got to have dinner with my dad, Tami, my uncle Jim, and my grandma. The next morning my grandma
took Ted and I on an hour and a half car tour of The Villages. 70,000 people live there and they have everything like a normal town and a lot more. It was a sight to see.
Ted in our Mazda 3
Pros= drive a golf cart wherever you want, no riff raff or tacky decorating allowed
Cons=everyone is 55 or older, you have to watch out for 50 million golf carts that have their own lanes on the roads

Yesterday afternoon we drove over to where we are now, Dunedin. Ted's parents are here. We have a really nice condo to share that is right on a canal with dolphins that swim in it. We have to drive a mile to get to the Honeymoon Island State Park (where you can then take a ferry to Caladesi Island), and we have to drive about 4 miles to get to downtown Dunedin which we are told has a lot of cute shops and stuff.
Right now, Ted and his dad are out for a early morning run (it's 7:45am) and when they get back we are going to go downtown and get coffee and shop around. And, that's the only plan for today so far, which is awesome.

So Long!
Tomorrow at 7am sharp Ted and I are headed out the door and down to Grand Rapids. Then at 12:35 (hopefully, you know how airports are) we will be taking off and flying to Orlando. At 4pm we will be hopping into our rental car and then driving to The Villages to see my Grandma, Dad and Tami.
We are sooo excited! We are staying at The Villages for one night and then driving to Dunedin to stay at a condo with Ted's parents for 6 nights. Then, on our last night we are driving back to my Grandma's so we don't have a long drive to the airport early the next morning.
I will try to post some pics as our vacation goes along, so you all can see the summer weather that everyone here is longing for! The most exciting part of our vacation is that we don't have much planned. We can do anything we want, whenever we want. The only thing we have planned to do is to be outside A LOT!
Pray for safe travel and a healthy momma and baby during our trip. :)
Oh, and just in case you needed to hear one more justifiable reason for our trip to Florida...: On Monday, Ted and I woke up to 15 inches of fresh fallen snow. It was drifted halfway up our car. It was the most snow we have had all winter, and it was March 9th! I have a pic that I will have to upload. It was craziness.

Bum Genius!
These are the diapers that Ted and I are registered for at http://www.cottonbabies.com/. A lot of people have been asking us about them and why we want to use cloth diapers and such.

We have a couple main reasons:
a. environmental/waste
and
b. cost
Cloth diapers save lots of money in the long run (especially these "one size" ones) and they save A LOT of waste and help the environment. I have read lots of reviews about this pocket-style of cloth diaper, and these seem the best for the money. Also, they are SUPER cute!
Just see for yourself...!

Spring Has Sprung!
Just Kidding!
But, it is the first day of March, and that makes for a celebration. Only twenty-some days till the first day of Spring, and Ted and I will enjoying that mini-holiday (in my eyes) sitting in the sun.
Florida, my friends, is only 15 days away! In case you can't seem to grasp my excitement, let me share this little fact. Yesterday, here in "Charlevoix the Beautiful" it was three degrees. 3. Yesterday in Dunedin, FL it was seventy-eight degrees. 78. That means, it was 75 degrees warmer in Dunedin than in Charlevoix. If that doesn't make you want to be in the Sunshine State right this minute, I don't know what will.
Ted and I are trying to make the best of our "end of winter" blues. On Friday, we went to Traverse City and ate at a yummy restuarant, developed a disposable camera from last summer (a last minute canoeing/bed and breakfast trip...that cheered us up right away!), and then bought some clothes for my forever expanding belly.
We went home from Traverse by way of Bellaire so that we could stop at our favorite micro-brewery, Short's. One of my co-workers/friend, Dwain, was playing music there and it is always fun to see him. And...it is always fun to eat their pizza! Ted now has realistic hopes that Stagecoach Regime will play there, since Dwain has connections. :)
Stagecoach Regime is the band that Ted is in...I don't know if I have mentioned that before. They have some fun songs. He plays guitar mostly, and then drums on a song or two, I think.
Well, it's a new month, and a new season (almost). So, it was now time for a new background as well. I hope you enjoy it. Very Spring-y and happy! :)
